The mission of Owen County Court Services is to promote non-criminal behavior through cost-effective, community based, appropriate, and effective supervision while utilizing evidence-based practices including incentives and graduated sanctions, thereby reducing risk to the community.

⚖️ Justice Reinvestment Advisory Council (JRAC)
Meetings take place at Owen County Court Services at 3:30 PM.

The Owen County JRAC was established under Indiana Code 33-38-9.5-4 to promote evidence-based practices for community-based sentencing and recidivism reduction. The Council also evaluates local correctional practices and reports to the State JRAC.

Meetings are held at Owen Valley Christian Fellowship from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Circuit Courts
Owen County’s Circuit Court system is made up of two divisions—each with its own judge, docket, and responsibilities. These courts handle civil, criminal, juvenile, and family cases for the county.
Screen Hotline
Daily check-ins for drug test appearances are required and can be completed by phone or online. Failure to check in between 4:00 AM and 9:59 AM will be tracked as a missed test. Both check-in options are available in English and Spanish. You must have your assigned Call-In Code or PIN to check in.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, your probation can be transferred, but it must be approved by the Judge. Transfer fees apply: $125 for out-of-state and $75 for in-state transfers. You must continue following the rules of Owen County Probation even after transferring.
No, not without prior permission. You must first get approval from both the Judge and your Probation Officer. There are forms available that you can fill out and submit to the court for travel requests.
You must fully comply with all terms of the No Contact Order. This means you are not allowed to have any direct or indirect contact with the individuals or locations listed in the order.
A violation of probation happens when you fail to follow any of the conditions set by the court. This can result in further penalties, including potential jail time.
