The Building and Planning Department provides comprehensive services to ensure safe construction and best zoning practices across Owen County.
📌 Services & Responsibilities
- Issuing building permits for commercial and residential buildings
- Issuing electrical and demolition permits
- Conducting building plan checks and inspections
- Assisting with building concerns and code enforcement issues
- Providing zoning guidance and enforcement
- Supporting land use planning and site development
- Coordinating with the Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA)
