Meeting Notice
A joint executive session of the Owen County Council and Owen County Commissioners is scheduled for Monday, September 8, 2025 at 5:00 PM.
Location:
Owen County Courthouse – 2nd Floor
PURPOSE:
This executive session will be held in accordance with Indiana Code 5-14-1.5-6.1 for the sole purpose of discussing jail-related matters. No other business will be conducted.
This meeting is not open to the public as permitted under Indiana’s Open Door Law for executive sessions.
The Owen County Board of Commissioners and County Council will hold a special joint meeting on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10:00AM on the 2nd Floor of the Owen County Courthouse.

The Owen County Commissioners are seeking a qualified resident from Commissioner District 1 to serve on the Alcohol & Tobacco Commission (ATC).
This local board plays a critical role in investigating and voting on alcoholic beverage permit applications within Owen County. It includes members appointed by local officials and the Indiana State Excise Police.
Applicants must reside in one of the townships that are included in Commissioner District 1.
